Electrification and Mobility Competence Center (EMC2), Senior Product Manager, Development is a senior position based in the United States. The primary focus of the role is on developing logistics solutions, including road, freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, and other value-added services, to benefit significant global mobility accounts.This role is integral in establishing and maintaining long-term strategic relationships that typically go beyond the sale of a single-point solution.This position requires a high degree of analytical skills and industry knowledge to unlock hidden value that may not be readily identifiable to our clients and carriers. This position is inside EMC2, which specializes in supporting electrified and future mobility clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand the global mobility industry transition from ICE to BEV
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy that is aimed at maintaining existing business and is also reflective of future mobility trends and likelihoods
  • Understand the customer's business and their needs (strategically, operationally, & financially)
  • Developingsolutions for the named global customers; leveraging DSV vertical structure and competencies into innovative developments
  • Work closely with operations and carriers to deliver high level of service to customers
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships within DSV and DSV's carriers and service providers
  • Work across all divisions within DSV to create custom solutions that deliver value to customers
  • Maintain an open dialogue with executive sponsors for accounts and projects and maintain sponsor engagement
  • Other duties as assigned

Educational background / Work experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Automotive industry, either in manufacturing engineering or product development engineering, and a corresponding track record of success
  • Have subject matter expert-grade knowledge of the Automotive industry, including related topics such as electric vehicle charging, micro-mobility, and circular economy
  • Have subject matter expert grade knowledge of Lithium Battery Dangerous Goods shipping
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, program management, logistics, or supply chain preferred

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of transportation and logistics industry trends and best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software

Language skills

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Travel:

  • Pre-pandemic travel levels ranged between 25% - 35%
  • 80% of the travel is within the United States
  • 20% of the travel is global in nature

For this position, the expected base pay is: $114,500- $172,000 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
