Deal Desk Manager

GENERAL SCOPE & SUMMARY

Work collaboratively with sales leadership and other cross functional organizations to ensure streamlined processes for each deal and customer, with a focus on deal structuring, execution, and efficient sales operations. Perform financial analysis, including cost-benefit, margin, and deal modeling to evaluate potential impact to Alvaria's financial performance. Define business procedures, minimize price-variability across SKUs and contracts and establish price standards and strategies.

PRIMARY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with sales teams to structure complex deals, including pricing, discounts, payment terms and contract terms in accordance with company policies and financial goals.
  • Assess and mitigate risk related to payment terms, revenue recognition, and product delivery.
  • Communicate and present complex deal structures to the executive team for approval.
  • Review and approve customer facing quotes.
  • Special projects as required.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Maintain a strong business aptitude around industries, products and services, solutions, and competition.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Strong teamwork skills. Professional demeanor to maintain and enhance relationships.
  • Ability to concisely communicate complex information to Quotation Specialist team and company leadership.
  • Serve as a liaison for Quotation Specialists / Solutions Consultants, Professional Services, Accounting and Product Management to quickly pinpoint and resolve open items related to deal financial structures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 + years of working in a global sales organization.
  • Time spent in a Sales Support role preferred.
  • Experience with pricing or margin analysis
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel. SalesForce.com experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Ability to pass a background check may also be required.
  • Physical requirements include sitting for long periods of time
