What you'll do:

The successful candidate will effectively support Enterprise initiatives with the implementation of new products and enhancements to existing products and processes within the Payment and Digital space. This candidate will act as a Functional SME, having a clear understanding of the business needs, processes, change impact, and end user experience. They will be able to clearly articulate the desired customer experience to a broad range of stakeholders to align teams and drive the expected result. The role will also be heavily involved in the business user acceptance testing with the SME operating team and driving the conversations and observations on the quality of work and the overall success of our testing in reaching our end goals. The role partners closely with a cross organizational team to include the operations and product subject matter experts, business leadership, project management, IT partners and vendor partners.

What we are looking for:

  • Perform as an analyst identifying, assisting with the development and writing of business unit requirements to support the business unit's project.
  • Define system and functional requirements. Support the effort with a keen awareness of the projects timeline; participate in meetings designed to produce the results needed; work with senior team members to drive the results needed to meet our plan.
  • Ensure that we have a high attention to detail in our end product and that we appropriately challenge and drive the intended results.
  • Support the project throughout the development and testing efforts. Directly support and lead testing, joining the SME business experts and project team.
  • Help ensure that the team understands the objectives and that the testing results are either in line with expectations and when they are not, help drive the conversation as what changes are needed and the priority of those changes.
  • Support interactive dialogue to troubleshoot issues and challenges. Lead smaller scale business unit efforts (outside of EPMO ran projects) as the functional project lead.
  • Prepare summary communications at regular intervals on the project's status. Help support larger scale projects by running a work stream in the same manner.
  • Assist with or lead process improvement initiatives and help drive automation projects which are typically smaller in scale with an IT lead. Provide level 3 Functional SME support in the event of incidents.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of direct, related experience in Treasury Management Service, Project Management, IT-Application Support.
  • Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Entry level to Intermediate knowledge in banking or financial services operations domain, experience writing business requirements working with subject matter expertise.
  • Intermediate knowledge of project management framework methodology.
  • Experience in contributing to business process improvement initiatives including documenting the objectives and business stakeholders, identifying resources, managing a timeline/project task list and testing/implementation effort.
  • Entry level to intermediate payments knowledge to include payment types (ACH, Wires, SWIFT, RTP, Digital Assets) and file transfer protocol (FTP/SFTP) and API banking (helpful).
  • Experience with ISO 20022 format and other payment formats is a definite plus.
  • Knowledge of risk systems associated with transaction processing a plus. Knowledge of core banking/deposit systems a plus.
  • Vendor experience with FIS IBS Core, Actimize Fraud and Sanctions, Fiserv EPP, other wire system experience, Finastra Total Messaging is a plus.
  • Vendor experience with Business and Consumer Online Banking applications is a plus.
  • Experience in building reporting off varied data sets in a variety of formats.
  • Comfortable using data to drive insights that lead to actionable next steps.
  • Expertise with interrogating and visualizing data in excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau a plus
  • Excellent speaking and writing skills for internal and external audience (ex: sales or leadership)
  • A beginner's mindset that allows you to focus on continuous learning across a broad range of applications
