Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Developer (Sr. Associate - Projects) with 4-8 years of experience in Spark Spark in Scala and Core Java. The ideal candidate will contribute to our dynamic team by developing high-quality software solutions for commercial lending applications. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our business and drive innovation in a collaborative environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of scalable and robust applications using Spark and Spark in Scala.
- Design and implement effective solutions using Core Java ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
- Optimize existing software for improved efficiency and scalability.
- Ensure code quality organization and automatization.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to resolve complex issues.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high development standards.
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle from concept to deployment.
- Work closely with stakeholders to define project specifications and timelines.
- Utilize Kafka for building real-time data processing pipelines when applicable.
- Leverage domain knowledge in commercial lending to enhance application functionality and user experience.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Spark Spark in Scala and Core Java is mandatory.
- Familiarity with Kafka is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software engineering principles.
- Experience in commercial lending domain is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is $90,000-$115,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
