Engineering Team Lead
Pay: $68,640-76,960
Shift: Monday through Friday 8:30AM- 5:00PM.


As an Engineering Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in the development and delivery of high-quality engineering solutions and projects. You will play a critical role in managing and guiding the team's work, providing technical expertise, and ensuring project deadlines and objectives are met. This position requires strong leadership, technical aptitude, and excellent communication skills.


Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage maintenance staff including training, coaching and personal development.
Develop team and hold them accountable for day-to-day operations and exceeding client expectations.
Participate regularly in internal team meetings and communications.
Partner with Account Lead to review operational impactful issues that need to be reviewed and communicated timely to the client.
Supervise and direct contractors, monitor and document performance.
Respond effectively to emergencies and service calls.
Oversee the maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems including fire/life safety, mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, controls) electrical (lighting, UPS, PDU, generators, primary switch gear), lighting and temperature controls systems, critical environments, roofing, light construction etc.
Meet internal and client SLAs and KPIs for work order completion and uptime performance metrics.
Identify safety hazards within the building and incorporate the remediation of such hazards to ensure that the building's staff and occupants work in a safe environment.
Maintain all infrastructure and compliance documentation for the buildings in the portfolio.
Responsible for keeping records of building rounds and readings, all engineering logs and engineering data sheets.
Responsible for efficient planning and scheduling of work including but not limited to corrective maintenance and preventative maintenance.
Responsible for site safety, including the issuance, inventory, and compliance control of Personal Protective Equipment, consistent with OSHA regulations and Jones Lang LaSalle Team Safety Policies.
Administer the OCP compliance program in collaboration with the Account Lead and facilities team.
Partner with the Account Lead to meet financial targets and to create and administer the operating and capital budgets.
Some overtime is to be expected as well as being on-call for after hours and/or weekend work.
Performs additional job duties as requested.


Requirements:

Required work shift schedule is Monday through Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM.
Required to be on-call 1-week to 2-weeks a month.
Reliable transportation is required.
5+ years people management experience (Leading and Mentoring Engineering Team)
Demonstrate technical expertise in HVAC maintenance & troubleshooting and be multi-skilled in other areas (plumbing and electrical) in commercial buildings including working knowledge of cooling tower and chiller systems.
Trade school education, military service or college is desirable.
Universal EPA certification is required.
Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall.
Comfort using onsite scissor up to 75 feet tall.
Ability to frequently climb, bend, and kneel.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
