Job Summary:

As an HS&E Lead, you have extensive experience of partnering with front line supervisors and operations staff to meet and exceed safety standards on project sites. You will be responsible for assisting the operations teams in the day-to-day operations by influencing, developing, and implementing safety plans to help achieve the corporate goal of zero incidents.

Responsibilities:

  • Works within HS&E team to provide advice to Operations management on HS&E issues and topics
  • Develops skills and techniques in the implementation of Ledcor's HS&E Program, under the tutelage of senior HS&E staff
  • Acquires basic knowledge of site safety program, emergency response, fire control systems, personal protective equipment
  • Advises, ensures and is responsible for implementation of HS&E program on project site(s)
  • Recommends to Senior HS&E management and Operations on the tactics/steps required to implement HS&E programs and enhance the HS&E culture for their site(s)
  • Coaches, assists, and supports site HS&E and Operations people to understand client HS&E needs & develops PSSP (aligned with Ledcor's HS&E program) to meet client requirements
  • Resolves day-to-day or routine issues through immediate actions or short-term planning within defined processes
  • Enables and facilitates HS&E and operations resources to meet short-term and long-term HS&E objectives
  • Provides guidance and oversight for incident investigations/management on project site(s)

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in Commercial construction, Telecommunication, or any related industry, with relevant health and safety experience
  • Possession of National Certified Safety Professional (CSP) CRSP, Associate Safety Professionals (ASP) or any related HS&E designation
  • Diploma or certificate in Health and safety from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • Able to influence work planning and execution by field / operations people as relates to achieving HS&E objectives
  • Possess a high level of expertise in incident investigations, determining corrective actions and ensuring follow-up
  • Viewed as a mentor and expert in Ledcor HS&E program and practices, health and safety regulations, and proactive safety activities and programs
  • Must have and maintain a valid class driver's license with clean abstract
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing requirements

Work Condition

  • Based in Phoenix, AZ, weekly travel is required to sites around Arizona will be required
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week, some weekends shift maybe required
